On Sunday, September 29th at Central High School in Springfield, MA, hundreds of walkers came out to help raise money and awareness for Arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability. The goal of this important event, hosted by the Arthritis Foundation, is to help prevent and treat this serious and painful disease through research, education and community programs. Previously, the walk had been held in Forest Park, but it was moved to the track at Central High School to make it easier for those with Arthritis to walk in the event, and everyone was encouraged to participate.Eric Kopp, Director of Clinical Education at ProEx, shared proper stretching techniques with the crowd before the race. Inside the ProEx tent, physical therapists were on hand to provide pre and post walk stretches as well as answer questions participants had on orthopedic issues."We were honored to be asked to participate in such a tremendous event," said Kopp. "It's important to us at ProEx to help educate the community on injury prevention."
