ProEx Physical Therapy, a leading provider of physical therapy services, will relocate its flagship office to the new TradeCenter 128 building in Woburn. For the last eight years the Woburn practice, which began in 2001 under the name Mulrenan Physical Therapy, has operated out of 1 Arrow Drive, adjacent to the Daily Times Chronicle newspaper. Mike Mulrenan, founder of the original practice and a life long resident of Woburn, has said that the move was prompted by the chance for increased visibility and room for future expansion. The practice plans on moving some time in January 2010.
TradeCenter 128 consists of more than 500,000 square feet of new, first-class office space, with direct frontage on Route 128/Interstate 95 in Woburn, a mile south of the intersection with Interstate 93. This Cummings Property building has won awards for its energy-efficient design and is one of the largest and most prominent buildings along the entire length of Interstate 95. Described as a property “offering the finest corporate lifestyle with the amenities of a central business district and 900-car parking garage,” it is the second largest single building ever developed by Cummings Properties.
Mulrenan said that the ProEx team is excited at the prospect of the new, highly-visible location but will miss the day-to-day interaction with the Daily Times Chronicle. “The Daily Times and the Haggerty family have truly been like family to us,” he said. “We are very privileged to have been a tenant at that location for eight years, and they have been nothing but supportive of us as we have grown,” he said. “They are a first class Woburn business, one that is there to serve the needs of its community and also has a genuine interest in seeing other Woburn based companies succeed.”
At their new location, 300 Trade Center, the highway traffic count is 500,000 cars per day. The ProEx office will have 3300 square feet of space, open in design with a bank of ceiling high windows and natural sunlight. ProEx will have first floor space, adjacent to the foyer. “As we continue to grow, we strive to meet the goals of our mission and adhere to our core value- to always be People Focused. And one way is to provide a comfortable environment focused on providing exceptional clinical care. This newly designed location offers a large treatment area, well lit ample parking, and some fantastic amenities. The abundance of natural sunlight was also part of the design as this can provide an uplifting, energized and positive environment for both our patients and employees,” said Mulrenan, adding, “Woburn is where it all began for ProEx, we take great pride in this being our flagship site and we look forward to continuing to serve the community of Woburn.”
