On Sunday, June 10th, ProEx teamed up with American International College (AIC) and the K-12 Teacher's Alliance for the Run for Education, a 5k road race that highlights the importance of K-12 educators.
"Our M.Ed. and Ed.D programs have had a tremendously positive impact over the last six years in educating the educators in our school systems. We want to raise visibility and awareness that will lead to further support of Pre-K to 12 education," said AIC President Vince M. Maniaci.
Over one hundred participants came out for the challenge and raced along Springfield's State Street corridor from the Federal Courthouse to AIC's new track facility.
The ProEx tent was equipped with treatment tables and licensed physical therapists who were available to provide pre and post race stretches as well as answer questions participants had on orthopedic issues. In addition, ProEx raffled off an Ipod Shuffle which was won by Caitrin Sheils of East Longmeadow, MA.
