Eric Kopp was recently invited to speak to roughly 30 graduating seniors in the Springfield College Physical Therapy program. His lecture, which took place on Friday, April 13 from 1-4pm at Springfield College, was on the Kaltenborn-Evjenth Approach to the lumbar spine. The lecture served to support the new text book, Physical Therapy Management of Low Back Pain: A Case-Based Approach, written by Dr. Julia Chevan (faculty at Springfield College) and Dr. Phyllis Clapis (faculty at American International College) which uniquely provides several treatment perspectives to treating the lumbar spine.
"These young therapists are getting a lot of great exposure to good research and clinical prediction rules," said Kopp, Director of Clinical Education at ProEx. "By giving them the Kaltenborn-Evjenth introductory course, I felt like it's going to provide them with some preliminary skills that will be very clinically useful immediately."
