Last Thursday evening, at Franklin Pierce University, Eric Kopp (PT and Director of Clinical Education at ProEx), Lee Marinko (PT and Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University) and Mike Severo (PT and Chief Operations Officer at ProEx) were guest speakers at an educational seminar hosted by the NH APTA.
Their lecture was entitled “The Biopsychosocial Approach to Managing Musculoskeletal Pain." They presented both clinical and research information relative to using exercise as a pain modulation treatment and led a panel discussion on how this information could be useful in their own clinical practice.
The participants were physical therapists licensed in New Hampshire from all different specialties, including outpatient orthopedics, home care, acute care, long term care, and neuro. The session was extremely well received and applicable across specialties.
