Eric Kopp, Director of Clinical Education at ProEx, and Chris Stackpole, a physical therapist in the Farmington office, will be presenting to a group of young future triathletes on August 13th. These future triathletes are campers at Team Training New England's kids triathlon camp, taking place in West Hartford, CT from August 13-17 with a race to be held on Saturday, August 18th. In its third year, this week long camp teaches children ages 6-13 the skills necessary to do a triathlon, how to train for a race, and good eating and fitness habits. As part of the camp training, Chris and Eric have been asked to present on injury prevention and sport conditioning techniques for the kids.
(TTNE was started in 2005 to help prepare and empower women – from the novice to the more experienced athlete –to compete in sprint distance triathlons and other challenging events. Subsequently, some of the programs have been opened up to men and children.)
