The Woburn, MA ProEx Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine clinic was established in 2001 and relocated to this new 3200 sq ft facility in January 2010 at 128 TradeCenter. This clinic currently operates with six physical therapists, three exercise technicians and additional support staff. The Woburn MA clinic also serves the athletic training and sports medicine needs of three local area high schools.
Our convenient location right off Rt 95 allows us to serve the physical therapy and sports medicine needs of numerous towns and cities near Woburn. From Rte 128/95, take Exit 35 and merge onto Rte 38N/Main Street toward Wilmington MA / Lowell MA. Take a left at the first set of lights going toward Stop and Shop onto Elm St. Take immediate left at next set of lights on to Sylvan Road, keeping Stop and Shop on your right and Applebees on your left. You will be traveling parallel to Rte 128/95. TradeCenter 128 is the next building on your right past Stop and Shop
Laura has many years of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of Orthopedic injuries, dysfunction, and post-surgical rehabilitation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology in 1997 and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000, both from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
Laura has had extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy, primarily through courses offered by North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy(NAIOMT). She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Private Practice Section and the Orthopedic Chapter. She has been a clinical instructor mentoring Physical Therapy students from area colleges. Laura believes in providing holistic care to promote health and wellness. In addition to skilled manual therapy techniques, she incorporates medical exercise therapy principles with therapeutic yoga and pilates techniques to enhance recovery. Outside of the clinic, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, or attending yoga and pilates classes. In the winter she tries to keep up with the family on the ski slopes!
Chris is a physical therapist at the Woburn and Billerica locations. He received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Ursinus College, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Originally from Newtown, Pennsylvania, he now lives in Boston. In his spare time, Chris enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
Steve Shevory of Walpole, Massachusetts received both his Bachelor’s degree in Health Studies and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University. Prior to joining ProEx, he was a Physical Therapist with Marathon Physical Therapy. Steve lives in his hometown of Walpole, where in his spare time he enjoys boating, fishing and woodworking.
Lynn received her degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and is also certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. Her primary focus at ProEx is treating Women's Health issues and designing effective fitness programs for this population. Specifically, she has taken numerous postgraduate courses aimed at treating pregnant and postpartum women. Lynn has also been involved with the development and implementation of both our ProEx for Life and ProEx for Women products. A lifelong resident of Belmont, she currently resides there with her husband Ted and their two children.
Nawal is a Physical Therapist, practicing from our Arlington and Woburn locations. She received both her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University. Nawal also has completed level 1 certification through the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (IOMT). Nawal resides in her hometown of Sharon; in her spare time she enjoys cooking, hiking and volleyball.
Melanie works as a staff Physical Therapist and as an Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (IOMT) Liaison and Wellness Coach in the Woburn location. Prior to joining ProEx, she was a Physical Therapist with Orthopedics Plus and previously a Site Manager and Physical Therapist with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Melanie received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont and a Masters in Health Care Administration from Simmons College. Originally from Barnstable, she now lives in Watertown with her husband and their two children. Melanie is an active volunteer with First Church in Belmont as a Religious Education Teacher and as a Women’s Wellness Educator. She is also involved with the Belmont Food Pantry.
Rachel A Zeppi is an exercise technician from Wilmington Ma. She is a graduate from Simmons College with a degree in Exercise Science. In ten years she sees herself working as a physical therapist. When Rachel isn’t working she enjoys figure skating, singing, and one day she hopes to travel around Europe.
Robby Rizzar Jr is an Exercise Technician from Billerica but now lives in Haverhill Ma. He is a graduate of University of Massachusetts Lowell and is study to become a CPT at the National Academy of Medicine. Robby Volunteers at the Billerica recreation as a baseball coach and a certified personal trainer at choice fitness. In ten years he sees himself as a physician assistant and he enjoys the Boston Redsox , The New England Patriots and baseball.
Emily joins ProEx as a Front Desk Specialist, working from the Woburn location. In this role, she greets patients, obtains authorizations and referrals, oversees the clinic schedule and handles phone calls. Emily is a graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology. Originally from Tampa, Florida, she now lives in Haverhill where in her spare time she enjoys hiking, reading, gardening, and playing with her puppies. Emily has volunteered with the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Boston in previous years and anticipates offering her services as needed during this year’s Walk.
