The Woburn MA ProEx Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine clinic was established in 2001 and relocated to this new 3200 sq ft facility in January 2010 at 128 TradeCenter. This clinic currently operates with six physical therapists, three exercise technicians and additional support staff. The Woburn MA clinic also serves the athletic training and sports medicine needs of three local area high schools.

From Rte 128/95, take Exit 35 and merge onto Rte 38N/Main Street toward Wilmington MA / Lowell MA. Take a left at the first set of lights going toward Stop and Shop onto Elm St. Take immediate left at next set of lights on to Sylvan Road, keeping Stop and Shop on your right and Applebees on your left. Originally from Woburn, Allison is well-known throughout the region. A former professional figure skater, she has worked with figure skaters and hockey players on and off the ice for more than 20 years.
She is the former team Physical Therapist for the National and International Champions Hayden Synchronized Skating Teams. Allison, who graduated from Woburn High School and then went to Simmons College and earned a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.She is a member of the Sports Medicine Society of the USFSA and the Professional Skaters Association and also belongs to the Colonial Figure Skating Club in Boxborough and North Shore Skating Club in Reading.
Allison has written articles on Sports Medicine for Skating Magazine and Professional Skaters Magazine; she has been a guest lecturer on Strength Training and Injury Prevention at Professional Skaters Association seminars and US Figure Skating Regional Training Camps.
In her spare time (when she is not running around after her 4 children), Allison loves to teach proper skating techniques to hockey players, coaching between 2 and 4 hours per week.
Shannon, a Physical Therapist for the past 17 years, joins ProEx after a 12-year tenure as owner of the Orthopedic Back and Sports Center in Dracut. Shannon received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and his Masters in Physical Therapy from UMass-Lowell; throughout his career as a Physical Therapist he has consistently taken continuing education courses and most recently received his M1 Upper certification. Shannon makes his home in Dracut, MA with his wife Tracey and their two children. He volunteers as a coach and clinic coordinator with Dracut Basketball and Dracut Soccer and in his spare time enjoys mountain biking, cycling, skiing, snowboarding and hiking.
Jacob works as a full-time Athletic Trainer, working at Wilmington High School. As an athletic trainer Jacob is a “first responder” when sports-related injuries occur. He also performs Exercise Technician duties in ProEx’s Woburn location. Jacob is a Certified Athletic Trainer and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Salem State University. He is an active volunteer with “Help Give Life to Deb” in Beverly, Massachusetts, assisting with the coordination of fundraising events. Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, Jacob lives in Beverly and enjoys participating in triathlons and a variety of recreational sports.
Lynn received her degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and is also certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. Her primary focus at ProEx is treating Women's Health issues and designing effective fitness programs for this population. Specifically, she has taken numerous postgraduate courses aimed at treating pregnant and postpartum women. Lynn has also been involved with the development and implementation of both our ProEx for Life and ProEx for Women products. A lifelong resident of Belmont, she currently resides there with her husband Ted and their two children.
Sean work as a physical therapist at the Woburn location. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from University College in Dublin, Ireland. Prior to joining ProEx, Sean was a lifeguard and swim instructor with Russell Mill Swim and Tennis. In his spare time, he enjoys hockey and lacrosse.
Nawal is a staff Physical Therapist, practicing from our Back Bay Boston and Woburn locations. She received both her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University. Nawal resides in her hometown of Sharon; in her spare time she enjoys cooking, hiking and volleyball.
Nicole works as a staff Physical Therapist, working from our Woburn location. Prior to joining ProEx, she was an Advanced Physical Therapist with Spaulding Rehabilitation Center in Framingham. Nicole received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College. She is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor and an APTA certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. In her spare time Nicole enjoys boating and spending time on Martha’s Vineyard.
Alex is a physical therapist in the North Andover and Woburn locations. Alex received a Bachelor of Science in Rehab Sciences and his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from McGill University. Originally from Gloucester, Massachusetts, Alex now lives in Ipswich. His past volunteer endeavors include providing physical therapy services to participants in the Ride to Conquer Cancer in Montreal, Canada. In his spare time he enjoys running, soccer, golf, tennis, hiking and watching sports.
Pam works as a staff Physical Therapist in the Woburn location. She joins ProEx following her graduation from Boston University where she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies from BU. In February of this year, she made a presentation on the topic of identifying women at risk for upper extremity dysfunction at the Combined Sections meeting in Anaheim, California. Born in Costa Rica, Pam is fluent in Spanish. She makes her home in Somerville and in her spare time enjoys exercising, hiking, drawing and painting.
Steve is a staff Physical Therapist working from the Middleton location. He received a Bachelor of Science and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University. Steve presented at the Combined Sections Meeting in Anaheim, California and the Mass APTA Annual Conference in Norwood, Massachusetts earlier this year with the poster presentation “Are Repeat Lower Extremity Pathology a Common Occurrence in Out Patient Orthopedics?” Originally from Randolph, New Jersey, Steve now lives in Boston. His volunteer endeavors include the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk. In his spare time he enjoys coaching athletics, track and field and ultimate Frisbee.
Melanie works as a staff Physical Therapist and as an Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (IOMT) Liaison and Wellness Coach in the Woburn location. Prior to joining ProEx, she was a Physical Therapist with Orthopedics Plus and previously a Site Manager and Physical Therapist with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Melanie received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont and a Masters in Health Care Administration from Simmons College. Originally from Barnstable, she now lives in Watertown with her husband and their two children. Melanie is an active volunteer with First Church in Belmont as a Religious Education Teacher and as a Women’s Wellness Educator. She is also involved with the Belmont Food Pantry.
Bridget is an Exercise Technician in the Woburn location. In this role she assists patients with their therapeutic exercise programs. Prior to joining ProEx, Bridget was a Sales Associate with Party City. She is an active volunteer with St. Barbara’s Church in Woburn, specifically with the annual Christmas with Santa program.
Kyle works as an Exercise Technician in the Woburn location. In this role, he assists patients with their therapeutic exercise programs. Prior to joining ProEx, he was a Physical Therapy Aide with Leonardo Physical Therapy. Kyle received a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and is presently pursuing his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Originally from Salem, Massachusetts, he now lives in Wilmington and enjoys weight lifting, golf, skiing and video games in his spare time.
Emily joins ProEx as a Front Desk Specialist, working from the Woburn location. In this role, she greets patients, obtains authorizations and referrals, oversees the clinic schedule and handles phone calls. Emily is a graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology. Originally from Tampa, Florida, she now lives in Haverhill where in her spare time she enjoys hiking, reading, gardening, and playing with her puppies. Emily has volunteered with the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Boston in previous years and anticipates offering her services as needed during this year’s Walk.
Bethany joins the firm as a Front Desk Specialist, working from the Woburn location. She is a graduate of Salem State University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Movement Science with a concentration on Exercise Science. Prior to joining ProEx Bethany was a Data Entry Assistant at Salem State University. She is an active volunteer as an Occupational Therapy Aide with North Shore Medical Center in Salem, Massachusetts and in the past volunteered as a Physical Therapy Aide with Bay State in Beverly; she was also a Camp Counselor in 2015 with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in the state of Maine. In her spare time Duma enjoys cooking and camping.
