The Stratham, NH clinic, formerly known as ProEx Physical Therapy, is a 3,400 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility. The Stratham clinic is one of the core providers of physical therapy and sports medicine to the Exeter Youth Soccer Association.
Our convenient location directly off of Rt. 33 allows us to serve the physical therapy and sports medicine needs of numerous towns and cities around Stratham. We are located approximately 2.0 miles North of Rt. 101 on Portsmouth Avenue (Rt.108). Traveling North, we are located on the right in the Meadowview Plaza (Talbot's Building). We are the last unit and our main entrance is around back. There is ample parking at the back of the building.
Joe Datillo, Regional Clinical Director for Professional Physical Therapy, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1995 and completed a one year residency program in orthopedic manual therapy. In 2008, Joe became certified by Workwell Occupational Health Systems to focus on the rehabilitation of the industrial work setting through functional capacity evaluations. He specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries and treatment of the spine. Joe has over 14 years of experience working with Olympic, Collegiate and High school athletes in the field of physical therapy, and designing customized fitness programs. Joe completed formal training to become a Certified Pedorthist, specializing in foot and ankle injuries and the utilization of shoe modifications and orthotic management. Joe is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Private Practice, and the Orthopedic Chapters of the APTA. Joe's dedication to the field of physical therapy is exhibited everyday in the knowledge and training he provides to his staff and the personal attention and care he conveys to his patients.
Dan earned his Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1996 . He has over 12 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine experience in the seacoast area. He recently completed a 2 year post graduate fellowship program in orthopedic manual therapy and became a full-fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists. Dan has attended numerous continuing education courses in manual therapy, golf swing mechanics, and medical exercise therapy. Dan is a member of American Physical Therapy Association and American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. When not working, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his boys' sports teams.
Heather graduated from Holy Cross in 1997 with a Bachelors degree in Pre-Med & Psychology and went on to Boston University to obtain her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000. Prior to coming to ProEx Physical Therapy four years ago, she worked in Emerson Hospital's outpatient rehab department as their primary orthopedic therapist. She is currently working towards obtaining a certification in orthopedic manual therapy with Maitland Australian-Physiotherapy. She specializes in orthopedics, spine and sports medicine and is a member of the orthopedic and sports medicine groups of the American Physical Therapy Association. Heather has been a clinical instructor mentoring students from Boston University and often lectures prospective college students on the physical therapy careers. Heather was an accomplished, nationally ranked synchronized figure skater and enjoys treating patients in all aspects of the performing arts. She currently resides in Newburyport, MA with her husband and son.
Kyle received both his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Exercise Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England. Prior to his appointment as Physical Therapist, he was an Exercise Technician with ProEx. Originally from Stamford, Connecticut, Kyle now lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire where in his spare time he enjoys playing hockey, skiing and hiking with his dog.
Sarah received her Bachelors degree and Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Springfield College in 2005 and 2006 respectively. While at Springfield, she competed as a sprinter/jumper/hurdler on the track and field team. She was also a recipient of the Margaret Kleinfeld Physical Therapy Award. She attained her Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the NSCA in 2007. Sarah has worked at Proex since 2010. During her time with this company, she has graduated from the ACE I Level of the Institute of Medical Exercise Therapy and is currently pursuing ACE II. She also became a certified clinical instructor in 2013. Sarah attended the Female Athlete Conference in June 2013. Topics discussed included treatment and prevention of ACL injuries, nutrition, running biomechanics, hip and pelvic disorders specific to female athletes and patellofemoral syndrome. The highlight of the conference focused on the Female Athlete Triad- a continuum of three intertwined health issues: energy availability/caloric intake, menstrual function and bone health. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys travel, hiking, paddleboarding, surfing and sprint distance triathlons. She has two basset hounds and one crazy rescue kitty. Originally from Mt. Washington Valley, she currently lives in Hampton, NH with her family.
Steve graduated from Denver Technical College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1995. His clinical experience includes Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in patient care on the orthopedic, neurosurgery and cardiac care unit and the Catholic Medical Center where he worked on the inpatient rehab medicine unit and also in their out patient orthopedic clinic. Steve gained extensive experience with patients suffereing from head and spinal cord injuries as well as stroke patients. He is currently progressing his professional growth with the ProEducation series and additional courses outside the company. Steve is blessed with two daughters who are very involved with sports including both playing soccer for Seacoast United Premiere a Nike sponsored club and currently playing at a national level.
Brian Received his Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire and an Associates Degree for Physical Therapy Assistant from North Shore Community College. He has over ten years experience as a personal trainer working with various athletic populations and over eight years in Medical Exercise Therapy focused clinics as a PTA. Brian continues to increase his knowledge in the area of Medical Exercise Therapy by being an active participant in the ProEducation Series, attending lectures such as â€œCurrent Trends in Functional Trainingâ€ and â€œMET for the Lumbar Patient.â€
David is an exercise technician at the Haverhill location. In this role, he instructs, motivates, safeguards and assists patients with their therapeutic exercise programs. David, who graduated from the University of Southern Maine, has an extensive background in the sports industry. He was a Major League Strength Coach for the Boston Red Sox from 2006 to 2011 and served in the same capacity with the Arizona Diamondbacks from 1999 – 2005. Previously, he was a Minor League Strength Coach with the Florida Marlins. David was honored as the Major League Baseball Strength Coach of the Year in 2007. In 2010, he presented “Incorporating Fitness Into Your Baseball Practice” at the World Baseball Coaches Convention. Originally from Fairfield, Maine, he now lives in Methuen with his wife Lori and their two sons.
Kaleigh is an Exercise Technician in the Amesbury location. In this role she instructs, motivates, safeguards and assists patients with their therapeutic exercise programs. Prior to joining ProEx, Kaleigh was a Phlebotomist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; previously she was an Emergency Medical technician with TransCare. She is a graduate of UMASS-Boston with a degree in Exercise Physiology; and earned a degree in Emergency Medicine from Dutchess Community College. Kaleigh is an active volunteer with the Special Olympics organization as an Athlete Assistant. She is also involved with Project Serve in Boston, an organization that ensures that inner city neighborhoods are clean and safe. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and soccer and participation in triathlons.
Katherine received her degree in Exercise Science from the University of Tampa; prior to joining ProEx, she was an Intramural Official with the Campus Recreation Department at the University of Tampa. A lifelong Floridian, Katherine now lives in Newington, New Hampshire and looks forward to her first New England winter. In her spare time, she enjoys sports and travel.
Prior to joining ProEx, Anne was a Teacher’s Administrative Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist at Lincoln Street School in Exeter, NH. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Anna Maria College. Originally from Shrewsbury, MA, Anne now lives in Exeter with her husband and their three children. She is an active volunteer with Great Bay eLearning Charter School in Exeter and in her spare time enjoys kayaking, camping, gardening, reading and listening to music.
