Matt, Co-owner and Regional Clinical Director for ProEx Physical Therapy, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1997 and completed a two-year residency program in manual therapy. He is currently a candidate for full-fellowship in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. In 2008, Matt became certified by Workwell Occupational Health Systems to focus on the rehabilitation of the industrial work setting through functional capacity evaluations. He specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries and treatment of the spine. Matt has over 10 years of experience working with Professional, Collegiate and High school athletes in the field of physical therapy, and designing customized fitness programs, which he successfully demonstrated as Program Director of Baystate Sports Training, 2001-2005. While earning his degree, Matt pitched on the Husky baseball team, helping to lead the program to the NCAA Division I Regional baseball tournament his senior year. He then went on to compete professionally for a year in Holland. Matt plays an active role in the community, speaking on topics related to physical therapy and sports conditioning with local business groups and athletic organizations, as well as appearing as a regular guest lecturer at Northeastern University. In addition to his local appearances, Matt is currently a Teaching Assistant for the ProEducation Series at ProEx Physical Therapy, focusing on topics related to Medical Exercise Therapy and Spinal Conditions. Matt is a past member of the Woburn Rotary Club and holds current membership in the American Physical Therapy Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists and the Massachusetts Private Practice Special Interest Group of the APTA, of which he sits on the group's Executive Committee. He was also recently appointed co-Chair of the Payment Policy and Practice Committee of the MA APTA. Matt's dedication to the field of physical therapy is exhibited everyday in the knowledge and training he provides to his staff and the personal attention and care he conveys to his patients.
Katherine is a Physical Therapist/Clinical Director at the Boston South End location. Prior to joining the ProEx team, she was the Clinic Manager at the Mullis and Associates Physical Therapy where she managed clinical and admin staff as well as provide clinical care to patients. Gleason graduated from Northeastern University in 2006 and went on to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In her spare time Katherine enjoys running, yoga, strength training, reading, playing the piano and spending time with her husband, Brendan, two children, Liam & Shea and her Boston terrier Roxy.
Jeff grew up in Waltham, MA, graduating from Waltham High School in 2006 where he played golf and baseball. Jeff continued on to the University of Massachusetts - Lowell graduating in 2010 with a BS in Exercise Physiology and a Minor in Nutrition while playing on the golf team there for three years. Jeff worked as a strength and conditioning specialist and personal trainer for three years prior to starting graduate school. He graduated from University of St. Augustine in San Diego receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in April of 2015. Jeff worked in California as a physical therapist for just over a year and made the move back to Boston to continue his career. He has experience treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. While at the University of St. Augustine, Jeff completed all courses in the Manual Therapy Certification to specialize in assessment and treatment of various spine and extremity conditions. He also has completed courses through Institute of Physical Art and Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. In his free time, Jeff enjoys golfing, hiking, surfing and hockey, while cheering on local Boston sports teams.
Chandra is a Front Desk Specialist/Exercise Technician at our Boston, South End location. Prior to joining the ProEx family, Chandra attended Northeastern University graduating in 2016 with a degree in Psychology & Exercise Science. Chandra was a volunteer at Centro Educativo Villalobos in Urnca, Costa Rico as an English teacher to children in grades 1-6 Chandra also, studied abroad in Costa Rica, where I volunteered at Centro Educativo Villalobos in Uruca, Costa Rica! In her spare time Chandra enjoys soccer, running and traveling.
Maggie is an Exercise Tech at the Arlington and South End locations. Prior to joining the ProEx team, she attended Princeton University graduating in 2014 with a degree in Anthropology. She was a member of the Division I rowing team all four years. After graduating, Maggie lived in Kenya for a year as a Princeton in Africa Fellow, paired with a local NGO. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering with a local animal rescue organization.
