Laura Berube is the founder and former owner of Legacy Physical Therapy in Amesbury MA.
Laura has 14 years experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of Orthopedic injuries, dysfunction, and post-surgical rehabilitation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology in 1997 and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000, both from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Laura has had extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy, primarily through courses offered by North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy(NAIOMT). She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Private Practice Section and the Orthopedic Chapter. She has been a clinical instructor mentoring Physical Therapy students from area colleges. Laura believes in providing holistic care to promote health and wellness. In addition to skilled manual therapy techniques, she incorporates medical exercise therapy principles with therapeutic yoga and pilates techniques to enhance recovery. Outside of the clinic, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, or attending yoga and pilates classes. In the winter she tries to keep up with the family on the ski slopes!
Abigail White joined the Legacy Physical Therapy team in 2014. Her approach emphasizes the identification of the severity of injury and/or disease process, individual functional limitations, and understanding the impact this has on one’s daily activities, work, recreation, and sport endeavors. Abigail has treated diverse patients including: youth to high school gymnasts, athletes, weekend warriors, teachers, office workers, manual laborers, grandparents, and more. Her clinical experiences include acute rehabilitation at University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center, long term acute care at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Her personal experiences with her own injuries inform her of the difficulties on the road to recovery. With a history of athletic pursuits in field hockey, track, softball, and recreational sport, Abigail is a fitness enthusiast. When not in the clinic you may find her at the gym performing her own rehabilitation maintenance program. She also enjoys yoga, running, biking and being outside in the summertime for as long as the New England weather allows.Abigail received her DPT (Doctorate of Physical Therapy) from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and prior received a degree in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) from the University of New Hampshire. She is a member of the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) since 2011.
Prior to joining ProEx, Molly, who received both her Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University, was a Physical Therapist with Peak Performance Physical Therapy. Molly lives in her hometown of Beverly and enjoys running, yoga, going to the beach and activities with friends. She is a member of the Greater Beverly YMCA and an active volunteer with the Pete Frates #3 Fund/Strike Out ALS.
Kaleigh is an Exercise Technician in the Amesbury location. In this role she instructs, motivates, safeguards and assists patients with their therapeutic exercise programs. Prior to joining ProEx, Kaleigh was a Phlebotomist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; previously she was an Emergency Medical technician with TransCare. She is a graduate of UMASS-Boston with a degree in Exercise Physiology; and earned a degree in Emergency Medicine from Dutchess Community College. Kaleigh is an active volunteer with the Special Olympics organization as an Athlete Assistant. She is also involved with Project Serve in Boston, an organization that ensures that inner city neighborhoods are clean and safe. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and soccer and participation in triathlons.
Emily joins ProEx as a Front Desk Specialist. In this role, Emily’s responsibilities include greeting patients, obtaining authorizations and referrals, overseeing the clinic schedule and handling phone calls. Prior to joining ProEx, she worked in educational support at Nettle Middle School in Haverhill and previously as an after school program teacher at Latchkey Afterschool. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Elmira College and received a Master’s degree from Adelphi University.
