This ProEX Physical Therapy location is the corporate headquarters which houses the centralized administrative offices of the CEO, COO, Director of Business Development, Marketing Director, Billing Manager, Bookkeeper, Accountant and several Billing/Collection Specialists. This site operates as a business office only and does not offer physical therapy services.
Mike, co-owner and founder of ProEx Physical Therapy, earned his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University and also completed two additional years of residency training in manual therapy.
A Full Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, Mike spent the first 13 years of his career specializing in treatment of the spine and sports injuries.
Mike currently functions in an administrative capacity as the company's CEO. He plays a pivotal role as the partners' liaison to the management team to ensure that all business strategies are consistent with the ownerships' clinically driven value system.
Mike is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as well as the Private Practice Section of the APTA.
Mike serves as the Chief Operating Officer for ProEx Physical Therapy and has over 25 years experience in healthcare as a clinician, administrative leader and educator. Mike holds a BA degree in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Fresno and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University. In 2001, he completed a two year fellowship program in orthopedic manual therapy. Mike taught Healthcare Management in the tDPT Program at Boston University from 2009-2013, is faculty in the Boston University Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy program and is a member of the APTA Education Committee in MA. In 2011, Mike, along with his colleagues Mike Mulrenan and Ben Barron, won the Professional Achievement Award given by the Sargent College Alumni Association. Among Mike's primary roles and interests are to assure that ProEx staff are the most well trained and that ProEx patients have and incredible experience and achieve their highest possible outcome with us.
Marc serves as Director of Finance & Operations. He oversees all billing office functions, accounts receivable management, accounting and operations management. Marc has over 18 years of experience growing and managing healthcare practices, including Physical Therapy, Radiology and Dialysis. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business/Accounting from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He has also completed course work in several areas of concentration including Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced Practice Management, Building Practices through Managed Care, Valuing and Buying Private Practices & Personnel Management. Marc was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association's (PPTA) Office Administrators network and produced and edited their monthly newsletter. Marc has served as a state wide resource and contact person for auto and workers compensation legislative issues affecting physical therapy practices in four states. He also volunteers for Canine Castaways, Inc., a non-profit dog rescue organization, based in Florida, serving as their accountant and tax preparer.
In addition to treating patients and serving as the Regional Clinical Director of the CT/Western MA region, Eric also serves as the Co-Director of Clinical Education for ProEx. Eric's teaching experience includes an adjunct faculty position at Quinnipiac University teaching in the Advanced Masters program and he maintains an active clinical teaching regimen in topics related to orthopedic manual therapy. Eric's years of clinical and teaching experience makes him a valuable member to the clinical education program.
Martin is Co-Director of Clinical Education at ProEx Physical Therapy. In this role, Martin is responsible for training employees in manual therapy and overseeing the clinical mentoring program at ProEx. Martin is a nationally recognized educator in manual therapy and a sought-after speaker in the field of physical therapy. He is also a founding member of the Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (IOMT), a manual therapy teaching institute which he operates out of the ProEx Woburn location. He has extensive clinical experience in orthopaedic manual therapy. He graduated from Physical Therapy College in Berlin, Germany in 1982, after which he returned to his native Norway to train under Olaf Evjenth, one of the most respected leaders in the field of manual therapy and the co-developer of the Kaltenborn-Evjenth Concept. During his six years with Professor Evjenth, Mr. Langaas completed three-and-one-half years of post-graduate study at the OMT residency program in Oslo. He has been certified as a Kaltenborn-Evjenth instructor by the International Seminar of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy (ISOMT), and is a full fellow of the AAOMPT. In 2007, Martin received the annual Kaltenborn "Teach I Must" award in recognition of outstanding instruction in a clinical fellowship program. This award is given by The American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. ProEx is honored and proud to welcome Martin to the team.
Ben earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from Boston University in 2001 and his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2003. Prior to joining ProEx in June, 2009, Ben worked extensively in pediatrics, orthopedics, and sports medicine throughout the Boston Metro area. He is also a former adjunct faculty member at Boston University's Sargent College where he was an instructor in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with his young family, playing soccer and golf, and reading.
Gino received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell in 2002 and then his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell in 2005. Since joining ProEx Physical Therapy in 2007, Gino has and continues to treat patients predominantly out of the Epping, NH office. In his current role as Director of Operations, Gino oversees the day to day clinical operations of all ProEx clinics. In 2008, he completed a one-year post-graduate program at the Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, focusing on advanced orthopaedic manual skills, before completing a manual therapy fellowship through Boston University in 2016 to become a full fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Gino is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapists, and has been invited to present at APTA conferences in 2005 and 2016.
Lori works as full-time Director of Health and Wellness, working from our Woburn clinic. She has held the Director’s post at ProEx since 2012 on a part-time basis and has been instrumental in establishing the practice’s wellness vision and developing ProEx for Life programs. Her transition to full-time allows ProEx to fully realize its vision for both internal and external programs. Lori has an extensive history in personal, academic and professional health and wellness. Prior to joining ProEx she served as a private health coach and taught Food, Nutrition and Wellness at Woburn Memorial High School.
Lori was a three-sport, intercollegiate athlete while at Utica College of Syracuse University and coached Division I, II and III athletics over a 10-year period. She received a Master’s degree in Sports Administration with a concentration in Wellness from Ball State University’s Fisher Institute for Wellness and completed a one-year certification program from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and SUNY Purchase College.
Lori lives in Woburn with her husband Jim and their two children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, traveling with and cheering-on her children at their sporting events and supporting family, friends & community in feeling great by making healthy lifestyle choices.
Kyle received his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina in 2005. He is nationally certified and licensed to practice in South Carolina and New Hampshire. Previously, Kyle worked as the Battalion Athletic Trainer for the US Army in Fort Jackson, SC. He has received several awards for his service excellence in the US Army.
Mike works as a Staff Accountant from our corporate headquarters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Prior to joining ProEx, he was the Assistant Manager of Customer Service with Hannaford Supermarkets. Mike is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and is presently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. Originally from Andover, New Hampshire, he now lives in Dover where in his spare time he enjoys watching New England sports teams, mountain biking, skiing, hiking and running.
Cory has been employed in the medical field for over 10 years. She has worked in a variety of fields including ENT, General Surgery and Urology. Cory began her career with ProEx as a front desk specialist in the Epping NH clinic in July 2007. She was later promoted to the corporate office in May of 2008 as a billing specialist. Recently, Cory was promoted to Billing Office Manager in the corporate office. In her free time Cory enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, hiking and bike riding.
Beth became part of the Stratham team in May of 2008 as a Front Desk Specialist. She has a professional background in both Education and Business Administration. Beth's positive attitude and attention to detail make her an exceptional addition to the ProEx Team. In February on 2010, Beth was promoted to Human Development Coordinator for the Kittery, ME office. In her spare time, Beth enjoys spending time with her friends and three children, as well as volunteering for Seacoast United Events.
Prior to joining ProEx, Kayla was Lead Care Facilitator at a family health center. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Plymouth State University. Kayla lives in her hometown of Dover, NH. Her volunteer efforts include work with St. Vincent de Paul and the Flutie Fest for Autism Awareness at Plymouth State University. In her spare time Kayla enjoys dancing, event and wedding planning.
Prior to working at ProEx, Jennifer has worked as a Technical Recruiter, Medical Recruiter, and in Higher Education Admissions. She has a degree in Paralegal Studies. Jennifer grew up in southern New Hampshire and now lives in North Hampton. She loves traveling and spending time at the beach. She also have a vast collection of action figures and vinyl records. While living in San Diego, she grew a deep fondness of Mexican food. Jennifer enjoys the passion that surrounds everyone at ProEx and feels the energy to assist our patients is amazing!
Cathy has been with ProEx PT since June 2007 and has thoroughly enjoyed watching the company grow. She was brought on as one of the original corporate office employees. Cathy's medical collection background began in 2000 as a Senior Collector for Credit Bureau Services. From there, she moved on and worked for billing companies whose clients specialized in family practice, pediatrics, pain management, radiology, and now physical therapy. Cathy enjoys the problem solving challenge aspect of her position the most. When not researching the latest information on insurance carriers, she enjoys the beach, working out, dancing, and building up her music collection on her IPOD.
In this role, under the supervision of a physical therapist, Kaitlyn will instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients with their therapeutic exercise programs. Kaitlyn joins ProEx after receiving a degree in Athletic Training from the University of Southern Maine.
Amanda received her certification in Meidcal Billing and Coding from Seacoast Career School in Samford,Maine. She is considered a certified Professional Coder and is an active member of the american Academy of Professional Coders.
During her education, Amanda completed a six week intership with ProEx Physical Therapy and was asked to continue her professional career here. Amanda currently resides in Biddeford, ME.
Kelly works as a Billing Specialist at our corporate headquarters in Portsmouth. In this role, she is responsible for verifying insurance referrals and authorization. Originally from Arlington, Massachusetts, Kelly now lives in Newmarket with her husband and their dog, Matilda. She is an active volunteer with the Dover Children’s Museum annual Road Race and in her spare time enjoys running and knitting.
Jess received a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Management and Policy with an emphasis on Program Administration and Sport Studies from the University of New Hampshire, in Durham, in 2008. Jess started at ProEx in September of 2010 as an Exercise Technician, but her outstanding customer service skills and exceptional attention to detail made her a terrific addition to the Front Desk staff in our Stratham office in early 2011. Prior to joining ProEx, she was the Store Manager at Rave X Motorsports in Portsmouth, NH. Jess lives in Newfields, NH and in her spare time enjoys traveling for super modified racing, ice fishing, attending Boston Bruins games, and producing maple syrup on her family's farm every spring.
Kimberly is a Benefit/Authorization Specialist, working from corporate headquarters in Portsmouth. She is a former member of the ProEx staff, having been a Front Desk Specialist in the Haverhill, Massachusetts and Stratham, New Hampshire locations from 2010-2013. Most recently, she was with Recesso Physical Therapy, performing both front desk and benefit verification and authorization duties. Originally from Danville, New Hampshire, Kim now lives in Fremont. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, cake decorating, exercising and activities with her children.
Jamey is from Raymond, New Hampshire has joined the firm as a Benefit Authorization Specialist, working from corporate headquarters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Jamey brings work experience at an insurance agency to her post at ProEx. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. Originally from Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Jamey now lives in Raymond, New Hampshire; in her spare time, she enjoys watching hockey and outdoor activities, including hiking and fishing.
Shauna joins ProEx as Benefits/Authorization Specialist, working from our corporate headquarters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Prior to joining ProEx, Shauna was a Medical Office Specialist with Portsmouth Internal Medicine. She makes her home in Newmarket with her husband Jared and their two children. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, music and activities with family and friends.
Aurelia works as a Benefits/Authorization Specialist from our corporate headquarters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Prior to joining ProEx, she was an Insurance Verification Specialist and Medical Assistant with Lakes Region General Hospital. A graduate of Hesser College with a degree as a Medical Assistant, Aurelia is also licensed as a Certified Massage Therapist. She lives in her hometown of Laconia and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Denise just recently moved to the Kittery office as an Operations Co-ordinator. She began working for the Stratham location in May of 2006 as a Front Desk Specialist. Prior to joining ProEx, spent three years at Northeast Dermatology as a Front Desk Administrator. Denise has a passion for volunteer runs and local fitness walks. She spends most of her free time with her family. Denise resides in Stratham, NH with her husband and two daughters.
Karen is a Credentialing Specialist, working from corporate headquarters in Portsmouth. Karen, who received a certification in Human Resources from Bellevue College was a Pathology Assistant with an out-of-state cosmetic surgery and dermatology practice prior to joining ProEx. Originally from Haverhill, Massachusetts she now lives in Bradford with her husband and their daughter. She is an active volunteer with Dance Works in North Andover, generating and implementing fundraising efforts for dance teams. In her spare time Karen is an avid photographer.
Donna works as a Benefit/Authorization Specialist, from the corporate headquarters in Portsmouth. Originally from Merrimac, Massachusetts, she now lives in Fremont, New Hampshire with her husband. Her volunteer endeavors include Event Coordinator for the March of Dimes and as a participant in the Boston 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk. In her spare time she enjoys fishing and activities with family.
Annie is originally from Amesbury, Massachusetts and joins ProEx as a Collection and Billing Specialist, working from our corporate headquarters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Prior to joining ProEx, Annie was a Billing Manager for several small behavioral therapy practices in the Newburyport area. In addition to her post at ProEx, she is also a personal and business organizer. Annie is a graduate of Leslie University with a degree in Business Management. An active volunteer with the AARP Money Management Assistance Group, Annie enjoys cooking, gardening and dancing in her spare time.
As the daughter of an Army Sargent, I grew up all over the world, including Germany. I enjoy cooking, especially grilling. I love to try new recipes and make my family be my taste testers J I love taking my children to explore new places, but our favorite place by far is the beach. We enjoy going to get ice cream for dinner on summer nights. Our favorite weekend tradition is to build a small fire in our fire pit to make s’mores and relax after the long week we had. I am Auth & Bene specialist at ProEX.
Karen joins us as a Benefits and Authorization Specialist in our Portsmouth corporate office. In this role, she verifies insurance information, tracks referrals and authorizations. Karen received a medical assistant certificate from Hesser College Medical and was the Reimbursement Liaison with Health Care Administrative Partners prior to joining ProEx. Originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, she now lives in Dover with her husband Ken. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking and snowshoeing.
Carolyn joins the firm as a Billing and Payment Posting Specialist, working from corporate headquarters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Prior to joining ProEx, she worked within the education assessment industry. Carolyn is an active volunteer with New Hampshire Public Television, the Strawbery Banke History Museum and the Portsmouth Public Library. Originally from Hingham, Massachusetts she now lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire with her husband; in her spare time she enjoys international travel, skiing, biking, cooking and gardening.
